Bumblebee pics released for Transformers 4

Michael Bay just released photos of what we can expect for Bumblebee in Transformers 4. Can't go wrong with a 1967 Chevy Camaro SS. This is no stock showroom car as in the first 3 Transformer movies. Based on what can be seen here, it's a heavily modified version of a 67. It's one mean ride and will probably end up as computer desktops all over the country.

TURBO - Trailer

Look out Vin Diesel there is a snail behind you. This must be the summer of speed. We've got 'Fast 6', 'Rush' coming out in Sept, and in July we get 'TURBO'. Snails aren't known for their speed, but in this movie we get to see one little snail named Turbo (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) who transforms into a speed demon set on racing in the Indy 500. This looks to be another animated movie with a great chance of being a hit, especially with the cast. Voice actors include Paul Giamatti, Ken Jeong, Samuel L. Jackson, and many others. The trailer below looks like this could be a fun movie for both the young and old. Take a look.

Does this look like a movie you'll take your kids to, or wait to rent it later? Tell us in the comments below...

Release date: July 17

Man of Steel - Trailer

Have we waited long enough? We've been patient, and it may have paid off. 'Man of Steel' actually looks like they got it right. Look for yourself. Hard to argue that this isn't going to be good based on this new trailer.

Fast & Furious 6 - More furious than fast, the way it should be

Remember when Fast and Furious was about street racing? With each new movie the Fast and Furious franchise gets farther and farther away from that. This allows for a much larger audience. And not just appealing to a 16 year old kid with a 'rice burner'…is that still a term?

Fast and Furious 6 really builds off the success that 5 had. And it follows a simple formula. Fast cars, girls, big name actors, and tons of action. But one thing that the series has felt obligated to do is up the ante on the 'action'. In episode one, the height of action was a Dodge Charger doing a wheelie followed with a train hitting it. Where do you go from there? How about Dominic launching his car through the front end of a exploding cargo plane? Or a tank leaving a ton of cars demolished in its wake. There are three scenes alone that could be the final action scene in any of the other previous movies in this series. The action really crosses the ridiculous line and it doesn't seem to matter. In 5 there wasn't a person in the theater that didn't laugh at how outlandish it was for Dominic and Brian to jump out of a moving car off a bridge 300' above a river. That was just a precursor to what you get in this movie. In action alone, you're going to get your money's worth. These guys aren't the simple gear heads they once were. Now they've gained some new skills, those reserved for special forces. The fight scenes are bigger, longer and more violent and they aren't just contained to the streets. In FF6 you'll see one of the best chic fights in Hollywood, followed by one of the coolest 'big men' fights that will have you cheering at the end.

The villains have also been ramped up from the motorcycle gang of over privileged children in the first movie to an ex-military, vicious, mastermind looking to do some serious damage to a city in this 6th one.

The main villain in this movie is Luke Evans ('Immortals'). Evans plays the bad guy part of Owen Shaw and he does so extremely well. Owen and his crew actually come across as a team with the power to give Dominic and his pseudo super hero team a run for their money. He is a much darker character than previous villans, and a lot less cliche.

The only way that Fast and Furious can afford this all-star cast is that this movie will be printing its own money. Not one member of the cast was shorted screen time either. Each one provided something significant to the movie. And you'll love the comedy that Tyrese Gibson interjects.

One thing that has always been unnecessarily confusing is the realization that these movies are not in chronological order. But Fast 6 finally connects the films. And by the end of this one, they are all tied together perfectly.

If action is what you want, there is no chance of being let down! There is relentless action and leaves very little chance to refresh that popcorn bucket. The slow times are few and far between and when they do show themselves its only for a moment. No exaggeration, Fast and Furious 6 has more action than all 5 movies combined. Prediction, This will be the blockbuster of the summer.

There is a great cliff hanger during the credits, and looks like we haven't seen the last of Dom and his crew.

Bottom line, even at 10 bucks a ticket, you might feel like you under paid...

R.I.P.D. - Trailer

Once live cops, now dead, employed by the Rest in Peace Department to solve crimes of recently deceased bad souls.

It feels like its going to be a bust. But hey, it's got Ryan Reynolds in it. And Jeff Bridges character looks pretty funny. So we'll just have to see.

Release date: July 19th

AGENTS OF SHIELD - T.V. Promo

Looks like we havent seen the last of Agent Coulson. He is alive and well and coming to a T.V. near you in 'AGENTS of S.H.I.E.L.D.' . Since he is alive, and Loki didnt finish him off in 'The Avengers', I suspect Nick Fury has some explaining to do about those trading cards he ruined. ABC will start airing this soon to be hit show in September.

The Wall - Trailer

This movie looks so messed up! Sitting at my desk feeling claustrophobic just watching it! To have so much space and yet unable to leave. Ray Harryhausen 1920-2013

Ray Harryhausen was a visual effects creator, producer, and writer. He created his own style of stop-motion visual effects animation called Dynamation. Dynamation's beauty is in it's simplicity. Ray's visual effects style was ahead of it's time. I can attribute Harryhausen and his movies to why I'm such a movie fan today. My dad introduced me to Harryhausen films when I was just a little kid. To this day I compare movie special effects to what Ray was doing 50 years ago. Often after watching movies of today I find myself saying "It's 2013 and you can't make that more realistic? Ray Harryhausen did a better job with less technology over 50 years ago". And it's true.

Some of his most notable movies include:

'Mysterious Island (1961)'
'Jason and the Argonauts (1963)'
'One Million Years B.C. (1966)'
'Clash of the Titans (1981)'

If you have any love for classic cinema, these are must own films.

Start with 'Jason and the Argonauts'. Spend 5 mins watching the famous sword fight between Jason and seven skeleton soldiers and you'll see just how ridiculously talented Harryhausen was. His influence on modern day visual effects creators can not be quantified. Many of today's film makers pay homage to Ray in their movies. Today, Hollywood tries to recreate the success that Ray had by remaking his movies like 'Clash of the Titans'. Its lack of success shows its not easy to do what Ray did when he set the bar so high. Ray Harryhausen will be greatly missed in the industry but his influence will go on forever. Many quotes after Ray's death were made. The most notable quote was from George Lucas saying, "Without Ray Harryhausen, there would likely have been no Star Wars". Nothing more need be said.

Iron man 3 - Review

SPOILER ALERT!

No seriously, spoiler alert

With Iron Man 3 you get a lot more Tony Stark and a little less Iron Man. Which is nice because Robert Downey Jr. does such a great job of playing this character. In this 3rd installment, we find Stark really struggling to deal with the fact that there are aliens from other dimensions looking to seek harm on Earth. Throughout the film he has anxiety attacks and it really shows a different side of him. This was hard to believe. His arrogance and confidence is what defines him and what attracts all of us fans to him. To see Tony in this weakened state was a little disappointing.

There are plenty of more hits in this movie than misses. But the biggest let down, and it was a big one, was the villain. The Mandarin, the man we have been teased with for the last 6 months in trailers, turns out to just be a down on his luck actor. Its actually revealed in almost a joking way. What a terrible time and place for a joke. Ohh hey, this awesome, creepy, intimidating villain is actually just an actor and your villain is a glowing, oddly strong, entrepreneur in a suit. It was just a let down. They should have left the Mandarin, and made Aldrich Killian the sub-villain. Too late now.

There was a good amount of hardship for Tony to over come and his connection to a child that helps him get back on his feet was a great addition and added some good comedy. So in that regard it adds the fun humor that is expected from his character.

But hey I think we all will take any Iron Man movie no matter the plot, villain whatever. They print their own money. But after seeing this one, they really should have skipped the bait and switch on the Mandarin, and not made Tony freak out every 20 mins.

You still need to see the movie, you'll have a great time and odds are it will either be your favorite, or at least 2nd favorite in the series. But if you haven't seen it yet…why are you reading this? There was a spoiler alert!

Pacific Rim - Trailer #2

Guillermo Del Toro is about the most talented director out there today. So there is a lot of hope that 'Pacific Rim' will meet expectations. However, this kind of Sci-Fi action movie clearly isnt for everyone. But those of you out there, and you know who you are, probably will EAT this up.

The Wolverine - CinemaCon Trailer

A short trailer was just released for 'The Wolverine'. They certainly show a lot of action in these 57 seconds. As long as they limit the number of 'walking away while something explodes behind them' to...zero, this should be a much better movie than 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine'.

See for yourself...
