Rush - Trailers 1 & 2

Rush is the story of Formula 1 driver Niki Lauda (Daniel Bruhl), his crash in 1976 that almost took his life, and his quick return to the track to take on his rival James Hunt (Chris Hemsworth). This is an incredible story and you wont need to be a 'car guy' to get it. Though based on these trailers, it would be no surprise if every car guy put this on their 'must see' list for the summer. The director is Ron Howard and the movie will be opening September 13. If you know nothing about this story/movie the below trailers alone should get you hooked.

Enjoy...

Thor: The Dark World - Trailer

Based on all of the trailers for Iron Man 3 and this new Thor trailer, the Marvel series is taking a darker turn it appears. And it looks like Loki is back in the picture for a 3rd time. His character has been a little weak, but based on this clip he may be changing from his bad side to help his brother. Probably just another trick. We'll have to see. Either way...keep these movies coming Marvel!

Roku 3 - Product Review

Roku 3

Looking for the latest way to stream movies from the comfort of your own home? The Roku 3 could be what you're looking for.

Roku is now on their 4th digital content streaming device with the Roku 3. Yeah '3'. Roku has taken everything that has made them successful in the past and added to it with a load of new features.

To alleviate some of the frustrations that people had in the past, Roku has added a very responsive and easy to use user interface. Jumping between menus is a breeze. No more click, wait, click, wait. Its a night a day different over their previous models.

With the Roku 3 they tried everything to give you the best connectivity and playback options. To help with any wi-fi issues you may have in your home they added dual-band wireless connectivity and if that still isn't good enough you can use the new Ethernet port.  So you'll be covered.

And not only does the remote include motion-sensor technology, but it also has a headphone jack mounted on the side. This single thing sold me on the Roku 3. Seriously this is one of the coolest features ever to be brought to the media streaming market. This is a great feature for parents, kids, or anyone trying to sleep. Say your kids are watching (insert popular kid show) for the 100th time and you can't stand to listen to that song anymore. Plug in the included headphones straight into the side of the remote. The TV is automatically muted and the volume is now controlled by the buttons on the side of the remote. Roku thought of everything, because when you pull the headphones out, the volume goes back to where the TV was previously set, no matter how loud the Roku remote was set at. So again, great for parents, or anyone trying to watch a late night movie and not wanting to want to disturb someone. I wish my TV remote had this feature. Of course it doesn't now, but this is so innovative that it surely will turn up on other remotes soon. Wishful thinking perhaps.

As far as the appearance, you get a nice slick black exterior. However, it still feels cheaper made than the Apple Tv, but really it shouldn't matter, you aren't going to hammer on it. Perhaps more of your money went into the technology of the Roku than the box. You are left with what feels like a cheaper device, but it's just a feeling.

Also there is no lack of content for the Roku 3. Below is a list of the most popular channels available to you.

Streaming options
750+ streaming entertainment channels that include:
Movie and TV Streaming options: Netflix, Amazon Instant, HBO Go, Hulu Plus, Syfy, Vudu, Disney, Flixster
Games: Angry Birds, Video Poker, Jeopardy!,
Sports Streaming Options: MLB.TV, NBA GameTime, NHL GameCenter, MLS Live, SEC Digital Network
Music Streaming Options: Pandora, Spotify, Rdio, Slacker, Amazon Cloud Player, Slacker, Mog
News & Weather: NBC News, FOX Business, Weather4us

Pros
A faster more user friendly user interface than the last 2 Rokus.
Remote with built-in headphone jack for cranking up late night movies.
Remote also has motion-sensing technology to play games like Angry Birds (included).
Ethernet port & dual-band wireless connectivity options.
Expandable with the MicroSD slot.
Free iOS and Android apps.

Cons
No YouTube…still.
And there continues to be this oddity where a company still isn't including an HDMI cable for devices like this.

Overall
With a new faster interface, remote with built-in headphone jack, sleek look, and the option to connect via Ethernet or the dual-band wireless, this clearly is the best Roku yet and worth the $99 price tag, especially if your life doesn't revolve around iTunes.

The Hangover 3 - Trailer

Here is the latest Hangover 3 trailer. This one shows a bit more of John Goodman's character. On a side note, Goodman should have a great summer with this movie, The Internship, and of course Monsters University.

Zoolander 2 - Now with Jonah Hill

So it's no news that Ben Stiller has wanted to make a sequel to Zoolander. But we may be getting closer to that being a reality. It's now rumored that Jonah Hill will join the cast. The first movie was pretty good but it did better after it got out of the theaters. And nothing was funnier that the freak gasoline fight accident. So I think a sequel could do well now. Clearly it will be better than Stiller's last movie, The Watch. I certainly have no problems adding a few more one-liners to my list.

Grown Ups 2 - Trailer

The cast of Grown Ups is back for a new summertime adventure. In this sequel Lenny (Adam Sandler) moves his family back to the town where he grew up. New stars in this movie include Taylor Lautner, Andy Samberg and what looks like a small role for a big guy, Shaq. Grown Ups 1 was one of Sandler's better movies in the last 5 years, and it looks like this second one should be equally or better than the first based on what I'm seeing from this trailer. Take a look...

Marvel Studios releases a lot of cool early shots of everything Phase Two. Ironman 3 is just the beginning! You can see a lot of screen shots and concept art at ComingSoon. The below video even shows a few seconds of footage that isnt seen in the other Ironman 3 trailers, so it's worth a watch just for that. Enjoy!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 - trailer

'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs' is one of my favorite animated movies of all time and I'm so glad to see they made a sequel and that its coming out this year!

After Flint Lockwood's 'FLDSMDFR' (Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator) went berserk, they were left with quite a food problem. It's now up to Flint to come back to Swallow Falls and stop his food from mutating.

Looks like there was one small change to the cast. But if you're going to replace Mr. T, you can't pick a better person than Terry Crews. And I guess my only question is, will we see a return of Chicken Brent?

2 Guns - Trailer

Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg in '2 Guns'. Based on the trailer, this could be a surprise hit for the season. Movie to be released on August 2nd 2013.

Once bittin, now killin - Tom Cruise in Van Helsing

Tom Cruise once was a vampire in 'Interview with a Vampire', and a pretty awesome one at that. But now we may find him on the other side of the stake in a reboot of 'Van Helsing'. Currently this movie's director is set to be Rupert Sanders. Sanders recently directed 'Snow White and the Huntsman', which turned out to be a pretty good adaption of Snow White despite having Kristen Stewart in the movie. So a Van Helsing movie starring Tom Cruise is very promising. And clearly no matter how amazing or awful this movie turns out to be, it will be a blockbuster compared to the garbage that is the 2004 version of 'Van Helsing'.  Look forward to hearing who will be co-starring in this.
